We are looking for members to join the Palliative Care Nurses Interest Group (PCNIG) Executive.
Call for nominations are now being accepted for the positions below for a two-year office unless otherwise stated. (Note: at the termination of the two-year term, you are eligible to stand for a second term of two years).

First and foremost, we are so honoured that you are a part of our interest group where our mission is to shed light on news, best practice and research on palliative care. The last couple of years have been challenging but they have also shown how above and beyond our profession goes to provide the best care, especially as our patients, their families and communities journey through, living, dying and end of life.

Nursing Week is fast approaching (May 8 – 14, 2023) and we’re joining RNAO home office’s initiative to turn its new Nursing Career Pathways report into action by celebrating colleagues who stand out for their love of, and commitment to palliative care nursing.

As part of Palliative Care Nurses Interest Group year end wrap up we will be hosting an Annual General Meeting to coincide with the RNAO AGM on June 11. We will be hosting a keynote lecture titled: Specialist Palliative Care in Long-Term Care

We think palliative care nurses are the best and we want to celebrate you!
We are encouraging you to send us a fun photo or video or you and your colleagues (or something else in your workplace) and a description of why you and your colleagues love working in palliative care or why your workplace exemplifies palliative care nursing. Submissions will be celebrated on our social media throughout nursing week!
Every submission earns you and all of your palliative care nurse colleagues a Tim Horton’s gift card and PCNIG swag!
These past couple of years have been stressful, challenging yet a time of growth for us all. We are so excited to let you know that as a membership we want to offer to send a number of nurses to some of the Palliative Care conferences this year to say thanks and continue with your growth:

To all PCNIG Members, This is a quick update to ensure we stay connected and up to date.
We are sad to report that we have had some unexpected changes to the executive due to a resignation. We wish Paul Andre Gauthier best of luck and thank him for his contribution to PCNIG executive. Mahoganie Hines who sits on the executive as Political Action ENO has agreed to take on interim President ENO position until the next election cycle in April 2022 when we can repost the president position.
