    Good day, members,

    February marked Black History Month, and the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) highlighted its significance and the invaluable contributions of Black nurses. BNLC proudly played its part in celebrating and recognizing outstanding Black nurses, including members within our own community.

    This year’s theme, Resilience, continues to guide our work throughout the year, and we were excited to host several impactful events aligned with this theme.

    BNLC Volunteers on Christmas Day
    During the holiday season on Christmas Day, BNLC Communications ENO Dwight Barrett and Political Policy ENO Donna Lawrence assisted a volunteer group in distributing breakfast to community members in need. It was a meaningful event, and BNLC was proud to support and give back to the community.

    During our Zoom webinar last night, we unfortunately experienced a cyberattack that disrupted the session. We are currently investigating the incident to understand how it occurred and to prevent future occurrences.

    We want to extend our sincere apologies to all participants who were affected, and especially to Dr. Bukola Salami for having her presentation interrupted by this unfortunate event.
