Hello everyone,
We hope this email finds you well. From time to time, we receive emails requesting support not directly related to wound care, but asking for help to reach nurses about topics that are just as important. This is one of those occasions.
Julia is an MScN student and she's hoping members of our group will participate in her study by completing a 15-minute online survey to understand whether nurses feel prepared to provide care for racialized gender-diverse populations. She has encountered many roadblocks in reaching nurses for their feedback.

Please find attached the presentation that the Ontario Health Technology Assessment Team provided to members who could attend this webinar. We apologize for the short notice regarding the webinar. The turnaround time was extremely short and we did our best to inform our members.
This presentation was provided to review the process for evidence of effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of skin substitutes to treat difficult to heal diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers. The Team also presented the patient perspective.
Dear Members,
OntWIG has been working with the Ontario Health Technology Assessment Committee (OHTAC) in bringing various recommendations to fruition in the last few years. Mostly recently a draft recommendation regarding the use of skin substitutes for adults with diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers was submitted.
OHTAC and Ontario Health are now seeking feedback from our members and members of the public. Please read the information below to submit your feedback.

We have started meeting again as an executive to discuss how we can resume our work with you.
We had previously postponed our annual symposium to this fall but unfortunately the venue is not hosting anymore events till 2021. Therefore, we will not be hosting a symposium this year and will keep you posted on any new developments as everything is up in the air.

We are aware of problems with Paypal for the symposium registration and apologize for the inconvenience and frustration. We have been working diligently to resolve it.
In light of the public health advisory for COVID-19 warning about organized events, the Ontario Woundcare Interest Group would like to post-pone the upcoming Symposium on April 24 to a later date in the fall. We will provide further details as soon as it is available.
