Dear OntWIG colleagues

Happy Holidays to all!

The Ontario Woundcare interest group executive needs your help

The Ontario Health Technology Assessment Committee completed their review for COMPRESSION TO PREVENT RECURRENCE OF VENOUS LEG ULCERS.

Please see the following link:

https://www.hqontario.ca/Portals/0/Documents/evidence/open-comment/hta-compression-stockings-for-prevention-of-venous-leg-ulcers-recurrence-1810.pdf

The report was positive and suggests that it is cost-effective to provide people who have healed venous ulcers with compression hosiery for the prevention of recurrence of ulcers.

This report is at the Minister of Health’s table.

We ask you to use the letter attached - modify it, and we strongly encourage you to hand-deliver the letter to your local MPP and mail a copy to the Minister of Health (christine.elliot@Ontario.ca)  to make the most impact.

Finally,

SAVE THE DATE: FRIDAY, APRIL 24, 2020 is our next Symposium at the Michael Degroot School of Business - McMaster University Burlington Campus.
