Newsletter Dec. 2021 and words from your new president

Posted on Dec. 13, 2021, 8:49 a.m.

Dear PCNIG members,

It's December already, and we have been quite busy this past year. Many nurses have given quite a bit of time and themselves in providing care and services to our clients, patients, residents and families in palliative care. COVID-19 has been draining a lot of energy from some of us, depending of our workplace and workload. Some nurses, including me, have been re-deployed in other roles in order to ensure that health care services are still available.

Please know that we are all important in what we are doing. The exceptional care that you provide is even more important in these challenging times. Your patience and respect of each other is also vital to enable us to continue to work as a team.

Please find attached the latest newsletter from your PCNIG executive. https://chapters-igs.rnao.ca/sites/default/files/2021-12/PCNIG_newslett…

Take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Sincerely,

Paul-André Gauthier, Inf./RN, CNS, PhD (nursing) and clinical nurse specialist in palliative care

President, PCNIG/ Association des infirmières et infirmiers en soins palliatifs de l’Ontario.
