Hi there,

We are sharing this on behalf of our amazing Social Media ENO Celina Carter and our friend Nadine Valk. See Celina's message:

*****

I'm writing to extend an invitation to a small session Nadine Valk and I are hosting the day before the start of the Hospice Palliative Care Ontario (HPCO) conference (June 13 from 3-4 p.m. ET). We chose this timing so that people interested in mindfulness‑informed or contemplative end‑of‑life care could join us whether or not you’re attending the conference.

If this feels aligned with your interests or current work, we’d love to have you there. And if you plan to attend, please let us know by filling out the short RSVP form so that we can prepare the space and get a sense of numbers. Please also feel free to share the invitation (see poster attached) with anyone else who might be interested.

Take care,

Celina & Nadine"

Mindfulness Informed Palliative Care: A Co-Design Conversation

We’re gathering a small group of practitioners, caregivers, leaders, and community members who are interested in the intersection of mindfulness, contemplative practice, and end‑of‑life care. This will be a 60‑minute, gently facilitated session focused on exploring what a shared community or initiative in this space could look like.

Our purpose:
To connect, surface what matters most in this work, and begin imagining what we might create together, whether that’s shared learning, reflective practice, community offerings or something we haven’t named yet.

What to expect:
• A brief grounding to arrive
• A chance to share lived experience or what draws you to this work
• Light design‑thinking activities to explore possibilities
• A focus on clarity, curiosity, and co‑creation (not decision‑making)
• A mindful close and next steps

Who this is for:
Anyone who feels called to this intersection: clinicians, caregivers, mindfulness practitioners, hospice volunteers, educators, leaders, or those with lived experience.

Preparation:
No prep required. Just bring your presence, your experience, and your curiosity.

Date and time:
We will be meeting the day before the opening of the annual Hospice Palliative Care Ontario (HPCO) Conference.

Where: Thornhill Room, Sheraton Parkway Toronto North, 600 Highway 7, Richmond Hill

When: Saturday, June 13, 3-4 p.m.
