Hi there Palliative Care Nurses Interest Group members,
On April 21st from 12–1:15 p.m. ET, we invite you to join us for our next Palliative Care Knowledge Compass session. We will be welcoming a panel of presenters who will be presenting on the topic “What’s in Your Recipe?” Approaches to Teaching Advance Care Planning to Groups and Individuals. The panelists bring a variety of perspectives on what and how they teach Advance Care Planning to individuals and the public.
Here are the session objectives:
1. Explore Diverse Teaching Approaches
Participants will learn about different methods, tools, and resources panelists use to teach Advance Care Planning (ACP) to both individual clients and community groups.
2. Identify Key “Ingredients” of Effective ACP Education
Participants will identify the essential components that make ACP education meaningful, accessible, and culturally appropriate.
3. Share Practical Tips and Real‑World Experiences
Participants will hear examples of successes, challenges, and creative techniques panelists use when introducing ACP concepts in different settings.
4. Foster Collaboration Across ACP Educators
Participants will connect with peers and panelists to exchange ideas and strengthen a network of ACP educators across the province.
