Dear PCNIG member,
Nursing Week and Palliative Care Week are fast approaching – May 6-12, 2024 – and we would like you to help us celebrate and highlight the incredible work nursing does to provide quality palliative care across the province and recognize the impact of palliative care on persons and families across their lifespans.
Please email us (rnao.pcnig@gmail.com) with a nomination of yourself, a nursing colleague or a team who can share their story about working as a palliative care nurse. Note: Please ensure the nominee knows you’re submitting their name and they are willing to participate.
From the nominations we receive, we will choose five to receive a care package during Nursing Week, thanking them for their palliative nursing service.
Please submit a video or story talking about why they became a palliative care nurse, what pathway they took, why they love nursing, and/or their hopes for nursing within palliative care. Chosen videos and/or stories will be shared on PCNIG social media, website and newsletter.
Nominations are due by Friday, April 26, 2024.
Please respond to this email and answer the following four questions (max 150 words or a two-minute video):
- What is the nominee’s role?
- What sector of the system do they work in?
- Why should this nurse/nursing team be profiled?
- Any additional relevant details to add?
