Want to support new RNs in Ontario? Become a mentor!

Posted on July 28, 2025, 10:59 a.m.

Greetings,

RNAO proudly partners with the CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses (CARE Centre) who offer a virtual mentoring program for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs). The program aims to increase IENs' understanding of the role and scope of practice of a nurse in a particular health care setting, and better acquaint them with the language and culture of the Canadian workplace. It is an opportunity to connect and have their questions/inquiries addressed by an expert nurse (mentor).

CARE Centre is currently seeking experienced nurses to provide mentorship to IENs through the program (3-4 online meetings lasting ~1 hour in duration each). This is a great professional development opportunity for you.

If you are interested in participating as a mentor, please read more about the program and complete the online registration form.

Kind regards,
