  • FCNIG Vote for Student Fees

    You voted with a unanimous 'yes' to offer a free membership to undergraduate nursing students for the remainder of 2021/2022 . This will be effective immediately, so inform any nursing students you know to contact RNAO to join.

    Dear member,

    FCNIG executive would like to offer undergraduate nursing students a free membership for the remainder of 2021. This is one way we can increase our profile as an interest group and it is possible with the reduced expenses in our 2021 budget, the result of COVID-19.   We need the approval from our membership.

    FCNIG is required to report back to RNAO on their work prior to each assembly meeting (usually twice per year) We are asking you to report on the activities in your work over the past 6 months for the upcoming assembly, February 26, 2021.

  • FCNIG Annual General Meeting

    You are invited to participate in FCNIG 19th Annual General Meeting. Mark your calendar to join the virtual meeting with other members as we review the past and prepare for our future. 

    Date: Saturday, November 14, 2020

    Time: 0930 to 1200

    The business meeting will be followed by guest speaker Joy-Ann Cohen, Barrister and Solicitor, Law Chambers in Toronto. One of her expertise is in employment law. Joy-Ann is an advocate, a teacher and mentor, a contributor to progressive policies, and a community member committed to accessible justice.

    Save the date. This year's FCNIG annual general meeting will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

    We invite you to gather to review the past and plan for the future. More than ever your participation and contribution is needed as we speak out for faith community nursing and health during COVID-19.

    This year's AGM will be held virtually on Zoom. A guest speaker will be announced closer to the date. Please watch for an upcoming email with registration information.

    FCNIG Members: A Message for National Nursing Week 2020

    This year of the pandemic, National Nursing Week will be celebrated and remembered with greater significance. More than ever we can acknowledge the unlimited sacrifices and contributions nurses have made working on the front-lines in response to COVID-19. Even though we are all focused on the more crucial challenges, we can benefit by pausing to reflect on what National Nursing Week means to us.

  • Bylaw CHanges

    Dear FCNIG member,

    The FCNIG Executive has met and revised the bylaws. These changes were presented at our AGM in November, and are not to approved by membership,  via ‘one member one vote’. The bylaw changes are a result of our name change to Faith Community Nursing Interest Group (FCNIG). Additional changes comply with RNAO new guidelines for our executive structure positions and voting procedure.
