This year of the pandemic, National Nursing Week will be celebrated and remembered with greater significance. More than ever we can acknowledge the unlimited sacrifices and contributions nurses have made working on the front-lines in response to COVID-19. Even though we are all focused on the more crucial challenges, we can benefit by pausing to reflect on what National Nursing Week means to us.
Dear FCNIG member,
The FCNIG Executive has met and revised the bylaws. These changes were presented at our AGM in November, and are not to approved by membership, via ‘one member one vote’. The bylaw changes are a result of our name change to Faith Community Nursing Interest Group (FCNIG). Additional changes comply with RNAO new guidelines for our executive structure positions and voting procedure.
FCNIG is happy to release our winter newsletter. You can read updates on our AGM and hear from our President Anne-Marie Mohler about 2019 Advent reflections.
We are wishing you and your families happy holidays.

RE: Parish Nursing Interest Group Name Change
Dear Member,
The Parish Nursing Interest Group (PNIG) executive presented a resolution at its 2018 PNIG AGM on April 21, 2018. The resolution proposed changing the name of the interest group from Parish Nursing Interest Group (PNIG) to Faith Community Nursing Interest Group (FCNIG).
Please see attached backgrounder for the resolution.
To formalize the name change, members of this interest group need to vote. The vote, which is on-line and comes directly to RNAO, is simple and easy.
