Please join us for this month's CFMHN webinar on Promoting Positive Mental Health in Children and Youth through Caregiver Education with Stephanie McConnel, RN. The education team for Children, Youth and Families - Addiction and Mental Health - Edmonton Zone (Alberta Health Services) provides parents, caregivers and community members with free groups and education sessions to increase awareness of the mental health challenges that children and adolescents may experience.
The webinar is on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020 from 7 to 8 p.m.
In this sessions, participants will:
- learn about how the education team provides family-centered education and support to parents and caregivers, including how services have grown and changed in response to the recent pandemic
- identify key messages and strategies to support caregivers in promoting positive mental health in children, youth, and families.
- discuss considerations when planning and providing education sessions to caregivers.
