Dear ONEIG member.

Please disregard the previous alert that went out around 2:30 yesterday. That went out in error. The message was originally sent out March 17, asking members to respond to Bill 66.

Bill 66 received royal assent on April 3. Schedule 10 would have opened up the Greenbelt and was withdrawn due to vigorous response from the public, including members of RNAO. Thank you for your support.

Schedule 5 which repealed the Toxics Reduction Act was not withdrawn, so Ontarians no longer have the protection of that Act. As always, much work remains for us to do.
