Call for nomination – CNS-ON

Election of Executive Committee:

  1. The Board of Directors of CNS Association Ontario (CNS-ON) is seeking nomination for the following positions [refer to the attachments (number identified) for the details of the portfolio]: 

2-President-Elect

4-Director of Finance / Treasurer

5-Director for Communications and Secretary

6-Director of Membership and Services

8-Director of Research and Education

 

All members of the executive are representatives for two (2) years. The executive elections for officers are divided half annually to maintain and sustain the Executive and functioning of the CNS-ON. Elections for the Executive members and change of office will take place after the summer elections.

 

  1. Election Process:
  • A call for nominations to be an Electoral Candidate will be sent to the CNS-ON membership.
  • Deadline for submitting your candidacy:   has been extended to Sunday, June 9,2019
  • Submit your information to:  https://myrnao.ca/CNS-ON_cfn_2019
  • Nominations received will be checked to ensure that they meet the requirements to stand for office (e.g. meet the criteria for the position applying).
  • Nominations be voted on by the membership.
  • Elections will be based on one member, one vote of their membership.
  • RNAO staff will facilitate online voting. 
  • The Electoral Candidate shall have been a member of the CNS-ON Association for a minimum of two (2) years prior to contesting and have expertise for the specific portfolio
  • Candidate shall prepare a short biography;
  • Candidate shall state reasons for running as a Director or an ENO for CNS-ON.
    • The Biography and statements will be made available to view for all Membership and is not subject to Privacy bans (1-2 pages max).  
  1. A member can contest for a different position after completing two (2) mandates in one portfolio.
  2. If a vacancy on the Executive Committee occurs during an elected term of office, the Executive members shall appoint a person who is a member of the association to the vacated position for the remainder of the designated term.
