Adding Planetary Health to Nursing Education - please fill out the CCRNR survey!

Posted on April 16, 2026, 10:09 a.m.

Hello Ontario Nurses for the Environment,

The Canadian Council of Registered Nurse Regulators is undergoing a scheduled review of entry-to-practice competencies and they have a feedback survey. This is a HUGE opportunity to get planetary health into nursing education across Canada.

The survey is quite long and a bit daunting. However, there are no mandatory fields. You can skip directly to question 50 – which asks if there are any ETP competencies missing – and you can provide a response there.

Feel free to provide a response saying that planetary health should be included and optionally give a one line explanatory sentence. This drops the length of the survey down to 2-3 minutes.

If they receive many similar responses, they may take this seriously.

This survey closes on Friday, April 17 (tomorrow).
