Aideen is the Advanced Practice Nurse Educator for Mental Health at University Health Network (UHN) and a transformative leader in the nursing profession. Recently honored as the 1st Place winner of the 2025 Hospital News Nursing Hero Awards, Aideen was recognized for her “unshakeable advocacy” and her role in how mental health is taught and integrated across University Health Network.
Originally trained in Ireland, Aideen has built a global nursing career spanning Ireland, England, USA, and Canada. Her clinical leadership is supported by a deep academic background, holding both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Psychology and Advanced Counselling. With a career dedicated to championing mental health as an essential part of holistic care, Aideen continues to shape the future of nursing through education and advocacy.
