Dear member,
Do you enjoy speaking out for nurses, health and health care? Would you like to assist us in our mission to promote the awareness on the careers of registered nurses and nurse practitioners, who has retired or who is considering retirement? This includes mentoring and supporting nurses at all stages of their careers, education and political action.
We welcome members to join the Retired Nurses Interest Group (RetNIG) Executive.
It is with regret that RetNIG will have to cancel the cruise event in Kingston for the weekend of June 17 as we were unable to find a group hotel rate for lower than $300/night. It was suggested to us that we try later in the season.
SNIG and RetNIG ask you to join us on Saturday, June 24.
After a short AGM meeting for both SNIG and RetNIG from 8:30 – 9 a.m. we have invited Shaima Rezatada, a Whitby Zumba instructor, to lead us in a Zumba Gold session. Wear comfy clothes and shoes!

Spring has come and we look forward to warmer days ahead!
It has been almost three years since our last newsletter. We hope that now things are going back to our new normal that we will be able to put them out at least quarterly. Please see the attached newsletter.

Kathleen presently works in the homecare sector with a specialized geriatric team. She will share pointers on navigating our health system and connecting to home care and community supports.

Join the Staff Nurse Interest Group along with the Retired Nurse Interest Group on Zoom with guest Anukul Thakur who will present a webinar on social media safety. We will give more details on Anukul in the near future.

These positions require executive meetings as required and a planning meeting once a year. If you are interested we would be glad to mentor you into the position.
