Posted on Sept. 9, 2022, 5:50 p.m.

Dear member,

Do you have questions or thoughts about the nursing crisis or how climate change is having an increasing impact on healthcare? Do you have an experience to share as an RN, NP or nursing student in the past year?

Join us on Sept. 23, 2022 between 6 and 8 p.m. for our #FallTour with RNAO President Dr. Claudette Holloway who will speak about the nursing crisis affecting the province and nation. Holloway will also address RNAO’s relentless advocacy to repeal Bill 124, expedite the application process for internationally educated nurses and address the systemic anti-Black racism and discrimination that exists in the nursing profession.

We will also answer the following questions: How do we apply resilience to coping with today’s work reality? How do we cope through staffing shortages? How does climate justice apply to the current crisis and what is expected to come? There will also be discussion on Bill 7, More Beds, Better Care Act, 2022 and an update from the Ontario Nurses for the Environment Interest Group (ONEIG) and Region 6.

All are welcome to attend.

Register online. The deadline to register is Sept. 22, 2022. Once you have registered, you will receive meeting details about how to join.

Sincerely,

Region 6 and ONEIG executives
