Hi ONEIG Members,
As we continue to balance the demands of the nursing profession in our various roles, many of us struggle in the feelings of doing enough, particularly as we bear witness to global climactic conditions fueling multiple disastrous wildfires, deadly heatwaves, and catastrophic flooding. It can be difficult to balance the demands of our everyday lives, particularly as we grind along many months of pandemic conditions, with the moral demands of living consciously in an unfolding climate emergency.
Recognizing this, it is with much appreciation for all that you do that we strongly encourage you, wonderful ONEIG members, to take a moment to join the David Suzuki Foundation in demanding urgent action from government for real and significant carbon reductions.
We need our governments to take immediate, future-minded action now to ensure the foundational conditions for human health and wellbeing are sustained for generations to come.
