Dearest members,

In collaboration with Leeds-Lanark-Grenville Chapter, RNAO’s Kingston Chapter will be hosting an upcoming event on Navigating Nursing Challenges & Mental Health Realities: Insights and Strategies for a Resilient Health-care System with Dr. Leigh Chapman.

Objectives:

  1. Understand the multifaceted challenges faced by the nursing workforce in Canada, including the impact of long-standing systemic issues and increasing demands on retention rates.
  2. Explore practical strategies outlined in the Nursing Retention Toolkit to address these challenges, focusing on implementing initiatives related to inspired leadership, organizational mental health support, professional development, and other key themes to enhance nurse retention and improve working conditions.
  3. Investigate the root causes and contributing factors driving the current wave of mental health crises in Canada, including societal, economic, and environmental influences.

There is a 100-person capacity limit for in-person participation, and food and refreshments will be offered. For those attending via zoom, a link will be sent closer to the event date.
