This virtual gathering is intended to be a low-barrier drop-in session for nurses impacted by changes to Ontario's supervised consumption services, including the potential closure of many SCS sites. Nine provincially funded sites across Ottawa, Guelph, Hamilton, Thunder Bay, Kitchener and Toronto were impacted. Nurses directly or indirectly impacted are invited to come together and build community, share resources, discuss how their region and organization are navigating the loss of these services, and have space to share their experiences related to harm reduction.
As executive members of the Mental Health Nursing Interest Group, we extend our heartfelt thanks for your participation and engagement this past year. As the year comes to a close, we hope that you find opportunities to surround yourself with loved ones and celebrate your accomplishments and hard work. For many reasons, there can be challenges with the hustle and bustle of the season. We hope you are able to stay present, find joy and take time to reflect, relax and recharge.
Happy holidays, and see you in 2025!
