    Hello to DNIG members across Ontario.  Just in time for some holiday reading here is your December newsletter!  In it you will find some new and interesting articles and updates on regular items.

    Hello DNIG members

    As in past years, DNIG is supporting members in continuing education.  For this year there remain two scholarships up to $1000 for travel and expenses. To be eligible you must have been an RN/NP member of DNIG for a minimum of one year and have not received a bursary for the previous five years.

    Attached is the application form which can be filled out or simply reply with all elements contained in an email to dnig.info@gmail.com.  Here are a couple examples for great learning opportunities.

    Hello to DNIG members

    Welcome to September, time to settle back into our routines and move more to our indoor activities!  

    Things to look forward to this fall include another newsletter, an education session sponsored by DNIG perhaps in a city near you, our annual AGM and networking opportunities for all our members. 

  • Unique opportunity for Diabetes Research Participation

    One of our members is conducting research!  Full details are attached.

    Your input & experiences are needed for a Type 1 Diabetes Research Study The aims of this study are to better understand the type 1 diabetes health needs of youth, as well as the impact on families of T1D therapy expenses and Ontario’s Assistive Devices Program for insulin pump therapy. This study has received ethics approval from the Health Sciences Research Ethics Board at the University of Toronto.

    Hello to DNIG members.  

    Here is our summer newsletter with a focus on the provision of care for Indigenous Clients.  Our members are working hard to provide appropriate, innovative and timely care for not just our Indigenous Peoples for for all of our clients.  Cheers to our amazing nursing members across Ontario.

    Elected for 2 years, max 2 terms

     

    In odd numbered years, members shall elect the president/chair, communications ENO, finance ENO, and membership ENO.

    In even numbered years, members shall elect the social media, policy and political action, student liaison ENO and workplace liaison ENO. We currently do not have a workplace ENO as members are spread across the province and contributing to excellence in diabetes care in a variety of positions.

    Attached is your spring newsletter.  Look inside for updates from Queen's Park Day 2018, funding opportunities and more!

    Mark your calendars!

    The Diabetes Nursing Interest Group (DNIG) will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 at 12 p.m. (EST).

    This meeting is open to all members of DNIG. Along with usual business, the executive will be announcing new awards and reviewing important dates for next year as well as hearing from members of the interest group. If you plan to attend, please contact Lisa at dnig.info@gmail.com for more details and the agenda.
