We are pleased to welcome you to our first in-person event since the pandemic started. We are hosting a dinner event on Thursday, Feb.23, 2023 from 6–9:00 p.m. at Bella Notte Ristorante in Whitby. Cost is $10 and will include a three-course meal

***alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at an additional cost.

We will also be hearing from Black nursing leaders to recognize Black History Month and learn from their experiences.

Dear Durham Chapter members,

As we know, RNAO transitioned into new regional boundaries on June 1, 2022. After the realignment, all members from the Northumberland area are within the Kawartha-Victoria Chapter.  At their meeting last week, the Board renamed the Durham-Northumberland Chapter to Durham Chapter.

We are excited to share that RNAO’s annual general meeting (AGM) will be taking place virtually from June 9-11, 2022. The Durham Northumberland Chapter will be able to send 16 members as consultation representatives. As a consultation representative, members will weigh in on resolutions that will help shape the association's agenda and focus.

We will hear from Dr. Angela Cooper-Brathwaite, fellow RNAO member and co-chair of RNAO's Black Nurses Task Force, she will share her research and there will be opportunity for active discussion on this topic.

We will be joined by RNAO CEO Doris Grinspun who will speak about RNAO’s relentless advocacy this past year on topics such as nurse understaffing and burnout, mandatory vaccination for all health-care workers, and changes needed in long-term care.
