Good day members!
We hope you are enjoying your summer and continue to enjoying it. We had a great beginning of the summer which included our RNAO AGM and our summer mix and mingle. We also want to highlight a correction. In the previous copy of this newsletter, it was stated that Shelly Philip LaForest was the president of ONA. This was an error. Shelly is the Executive Director and Founder of the Ontario Black Nurses Network. She is not the president of ONA. We apologize for this typo.
RNAO Annual AGM:
RNAO held its AGM and BNLC was there to represent. We had our AGM meet and greet the Saturday morning where BNLC was there meeting our members as well getting to know other new and joining members.
Summer and Mix and Mingle:
BNLC had their first summer mix and mingle event on Saturday June 24. The mix and mingle was a great success. We had special guests including Shelly Philip LaForest and the honorary Dr. Bukola Salami who was recently was appointed Vice president of the Canadian Nursing Association. Our Master of Ceremonies for the evening included president Lori Zozzolotto, Communications ENO Dwight Barrett and the Executive Director and Founder of the Ontario Blac Nursing Network Shelly Philip LaForest. The night was filled with great food, great networking and great folks.
