The Black Nurses’ Leading Change Interest Group invites you to register for their Inaugural Annual General Meeting. Featuring guest speaker Shelly Philip LaForest, scheduled to take place: Nov. 7, 2023 from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. ET.
At the end of this session, participants can hope to:
- understand the role of leadership in creating a culture where individuals feel a sense of belonging; learning key insights into how leaders can actively promote diversity and equity within their teams,
- understand the challenges and rewards of cultivating an inclusive culture and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI),
- learn the roadmap of the development and impact of the Ontario Black Nurses' Network (OBNN) and the Pan-Canadian Association of Nurses of African Descent (PCANAD) in promoting DEI, and
- discuss how we can continue forward through collective community action and support towards DEI in our communities and organizations.
