All members of the executive are representatives for two years. The executive elections for officers are divided half annually to maintain and sustain the executive and functioning of CNS-ON. Elections for the executive members and change of office will take place after the summer elections.
Election process:
- Deadline for submitting your candidacy is Friday, August 14, 2020.
- Submit your information to: https://myRNAO.ca/cnson_cfn_2020.
- Nominations received will be checked to ensure that they meet the requirements to stand for office (e.g. meet the criteria for the position applying).
- Nominations are voted on by the membership.
- Elections will be based on One member, one vote of their membership.
- RNAO staff will facilitate online voting.
- The electoral candidate shall have been a member of CNS-ON for a minimum of two years prior to contesting and have the expertise for the specific portfolio.
- The candidate shall prepare a short biography.
- The candidate shall state reasons for running as a director or an ENO for CNS-ON.
- The biography and statements will be made available to view for all membership and is not subject to privacy bans (1-2 pages max).
A member can contest for a different position after completing two mandates in one portfolio.
If a vacancy on the Executive Committee occurs during an elected term of office, the executive members shall appoint a person who is a member of the association to the vacated position for the remainder of the designated term.
