Due to insufficient numbers, the workshop for students on March 4th 2019 at Algonquin College is cancelled. Region 10 will try and host a resume writing workshop in the fall of 2019.

Dear member,

Region 10 is sponsoring a Resume Writing Workshop on March 4 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Algonquin College (1385 Woodroffe Ave, Nepean).

The event will be held in room CA403 and will be led by Riek van den Berg. Reik is retired from Nurse Educator & Nurse leadership roles at the Ottawa Hospital. She remains active in the nursing community at the local and national levels.

You are invited to attend a membership meeting where we will tour the Algonquin Simulation Lab on Feb. 27, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.  

The simulation lab is a set up as a mini hospital and could be used for real patients in a disaster situation. The tour will be guided by Carmen Hust, a nursing professor at Algonquin College and a coordinator of Algonquin's PN to BScN Academic Pathway program.  

Coffee, tea and desert will be served in the debriefing room.

Region 10 Annual Meeting 

Jan 21, 2019 - 6:30 p.m. - Jaguar Room, Mary Pitt Building, 100 Constellation Dr.  

We welcome Kim Van Herk whose presentation will be on homelessness and safe injection sites. 

At this annual meeting we will also elect 14 consultation representatives for the RNAO Annual General Meeting (AGM) in April and prepare a slate of nominations for the available executive positions for the spring election.

RNAO’s region 10 is sponsoring a resume writing workshop on Nov. 16 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Roger Guidon Hall (451 Smyth Road), University of Ottawa.

The event will be held in room RGN3001 and will be lead by Riek van den Berg.

The Region 10 membership meeting is being held on Oct. 15, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the Mary Pitt Building at 100 Constellation Dr. in Ottawa.

The guest speaker for this meeting is Toba Miller, advanced practice nurse for wound, ostomy and rehabilitation. The topic for the meeting will be wound care. 

The 2018-2019 Region 10 budget will be presented in the business portion of the meeting.
