This decision was made in order to ensure and prioritize the health and safety of our members and the public.

The Paediatric Nurses Interest Group (PedNIG) is excited to host this year's Paediatric Nursing Skills Workshop 2020. This opportunity is open to all nurses and nursing students interested in paediatric nursing! Sessions will include topics relevant to paediatric nursing delivered through didactic and hands on skills, designed for novice to advanced learners. The workshop will conclude with a career panel discussion of various paediatric practitioners who will share their experiences in the field, with an opportunity for a Q & A session.

As you may know, In recent months there has been a public health crisis of vaping and e-cigarette use by Ontario youth. Vaping among Canadian youth (ages 16-19) has increased a staggering 74% between 2017 and 2018, with a severe case of vaping associated lung disease occurring in a 17 year old male in London, ON earlier this year which has been prominent in the media.

On Nov. 20, National Child Day was celebrated.
Children's Healthcare Canada released the attached statement in collaboration with worldwide partners. PedNIG stands with them in support of the advocacy and promotion of child health.
