Save the date! The virtual 2021 PedNIG Symposium is coming! We will again be presenting a virtual asynchronous web series featuring the latest innovation in paediatric care from September 20, 2021 to October 11, 2021. New this year will be a live, virtual keynote on October 18, 2021 by Dr. Javeed Sukhera (HBSc, MD, PhD, DABPN, FRCPC). PedNIG is proud to present a screening of Beyond the Body in collaboration with the Diabetes Nurses Interest Group and RNAO Peel Chapter on Wednesday, April 28 from 7:30-8:30 pm. All RNAO members are welcome!
In Canada and around the world, March 26th is recognized as Purple Day, a day to increase awareness of epilepsy worldwide. This year, PedNIG is participating in Purple Day by focusing on epilepsy for the 3rd episode of our Pediatric Nursing Hot Topics Series. In this episode, we are pleased to present our guest speaker Vera Nenadovic, RN(EC), PhD, Nurse Practitioner at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.
PedNIG is excited to share our first hot topics video featured on February 15th interviewing a pediatric haematology/oncology NP for International Child Cancer Day.
The Pediatric Nursing Hot Topics Series will feature topics of interest to pediatric nurses and those interested in the field of pediatrics. Future episodes will include information about various disease processes, nursing assessments and considerations, and interviews with pediatric nurses from various specialties.
The Pediatric Nurses Interest Group is excited to offer the Pediatric Nursing Essentials Virtual Workshop on January 16, 2021 from 1-4pm. This workshop will include sessions on pediatric assessment and medication administration, as well as a career panel and opportunity for Q & A. Attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance following the event.
This event is by registration only. There are limited spots available, so hurry up and reserve your spot!
