We have some exciting updates to share!
Last month, we hosted a highly engaging educational webinar and Annual General Meeting (AGM). Thank you to everyone who joined us.
We were pleased to welcome Karen Campbell, who delivered an insightful and well‑received webinar on Skin Tears before the AGM. During the AGM, we also officially confirmed our new name: Wound Care Nursing Interest Group (WCNIG). This designation formally recognizes us as a Provincial Interest Group of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO). Membership in WCNIG is open to any individual who is a member of RNAO, strengthening our collective voice and impact across the province.
Upcoming Education Session
Please join us on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 7:00–8:00 PM for a webinar titled “Wound Infection”, presented by Stephanie Chadwick, NP‑PHC, MClSc‑WH, NSWOC, WOCC(C).
This session offers an excellent opportunity to learn alongside nursing colleagues and leaders as we work together to advance skin health and wound care excellence across Ontario.
