Dear NSO member,

As many of you know, RNAO has been interested in how nursing education has been impacted by COVID-19 and in particular the clinical component of their education and any program interruptions that may have delayed progression, graduation and/or registration examination writing. We are interested in hearing from students, learning about program issues from schools of nursing and placement issues from partner health-care organizations. One of the ways we would like to obtain your input is through the Nursing Education and COVID-19 Student Survey. 

Have you been eagerly looking for more ways to get involved with RNAO? We're looking for Student Ambassadors to join our team. 

Student Ambassadors represent RNAO and are the "point persons" on nursing school campuses. They act as the link between a school's nursing student body and the RNAO Home Office.

We’ve got some exciting opportunities for you!

A number of interest groups, chapters and regions are looking for students to join their executive teams. If you’ve been looking for a way to get more involved with RNAO, here’s your chance. We’ve compiled a list of all of the groups that have student opportunities available.

The call for nominations closing dates vary, so we’d encourage to put your name forward as soon as possible. 

NSO & SNIG presents Reclaiming 2020 as OUR Year of the Nurse. 

This panel will present perspectives on the past, present and future of nursing as we aim to Reclaim 2020 as Our Year of the Nurse. Our speakers have gone through SARS, are completing their nursing education and currently working on the frontlines to help fight this pandemic. Self-care and coping mechanisms in relation to PTSD will also be discussed in length. All of the panellists bring unique perspectives and stories that will be beneficial for current nurses and nursing students.

Are you currently an undergraduate nursing student in 2^nd, 3^rd or 4^th year? Did you recently graduate? Are you currently working through this pandemic? If so, we want to hear from you.

This position is open to nursing students in the Toronto East region. The student representative works alongside other executives and assists in engaging students with RNAO chapter events and initiatives.

RNAO invites its Undergraduate Nursing Student Associates to participate in the Board of Directors Student Placement, February 20 to 23, 2019.

The placement offers nursing students an opportunity to learn about and gain insight to RNAO, its initiatives and the issues that impact on nursing and health care.

The Nursing Students of Ontario (NSO), the student-governed interest group of the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO), represents and acts as a resource for Ontario's nursing students. It focuses on the needs, concerns and matters of the nursing student body.
