Tessa Vandenhoek RN, Chapter Chair, will be leading our local chapter work and representing member priorities across the region. The Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) is pleased to invite members and partners to submit presentation and e‑poster proposals for Nursing Week 2026, taking place May 11–17, 2026. This year’s theme, based on the International Council of Nurses' theme, is: 

“Empowered Nurses Save Lives.” 

We welcome submissions from nurses across all sectors to highlight innovation, leadership, advocacy, and clinical excellence. 

Dear Dufferin–Caledon Chapter Members,

We are inviting all Dufferin–Caledon chapter members to add your voice to Members’ Voices in preparation for the RNAO Assembly of Leaders on February 27, 2026.

As a chapter, we are required to report to RNAO on our work and activities from the past six months. The reporting period is November 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026, and member contributions are an important part of highlighting the work nurses are doing across our region.

My name is Tessa Vandenhoek and I am pleased to introduce myself as the new Chapter Chair of the Dufferin‑Caledon RNAO Chapter.

I live and work in the Dufferin‑Caledon region as a primary care nurse, and I am passionate about strengthening nursing voices and advocacy within our local communities. I am honoured to step into this role and look forward to working alongside engaged and motivated members to support nurses, nursing students, and the people we serve.

Come join RNAO and the Halton Chapter executives at the 2025 Pride Halton pride parade on Sunday, July 20. 

The parade starts at 2 p.m, and we will meet at a designated location at approx. 1 p.m., so we can march together.  We will hand out our Pride swag and t-shirts prior to the march. Further details will be sent to you, once registered. Please note that you must register to march with us. Registration closes, July 18, 12 noon.
