Dear Dufferin-Caledon RNAO Chapter Nurses,

Happy Nursing Week!

As we celebrate the remarkable contributions of nurses across our communities, I want to extend heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your dedication, compassion and professionalism. Your work is not only vital to the health of our region, but also inspiring!

This week, we honour the legacy of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, whose vision and courage laid the foundation for the profession we so deeply value today. Like her, you continue to light the way, bringing care, comfort, and strength to those who need it most - your patients/ clients and communities.

Thank you for all that you do, not just this week, but every day of the year. We are grateful for your commitment and proud to recognize your incredible work.

At this time, we do not have members who are involved with the RNAO Dufferin-Caledon Chapter.  I am eager to support you if you are interested in getting involved. There is lots of mentorship available. I will be at the RNAO AGM, please come and say hi. Do not hesitate to reach out to me if you wish to chat.

By the way, here's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Nursing Week with public health nurse, professor and local author extraordinaire, Dr. Cheryl van Daalen Smith at the Orangeville Library in Caledon on Thurs May 15th at 7 p.m. She will be talking about her debut novel, The Chronicles of Paisley Corners. Bring your family and enjoy this special time with Cheryl. Author Talk - The Chronicles of Paisley Corners - Orangeville Public Library

Lastly, there are still lots of RNAO events taking place this week! Further details can be found here: Nursing week | RNAO.ca

Wishing you a joyful and well-deserved Nursing Week!

Warmest regards,

Poonam K Sharma
