The Staff Nurses Interest Group invites you to attend a webinar on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 7:30 pm on "Oral Care – We Can Change Practice.".
When asked, Nurses almost always say that oral care is not as well done as it should be in their practice settings! This they say is usually due to lack of supplies at bedside, workload, lack of knowledge or noncompliance to care given. As Oral Care significantly impacts a person’s wellbeing and health; Nurses need to ensure that Oral Care is done properly. (Uferguson 2000-present)

The answer is simple – get involved with Region 7 - Toronto East’s Executive Team!
Now you’re probably asking what the benefits are. Here are just a few:
We are excited to share that RNAO’s annual general meeting (AGM) will be taking place virtually from June 9-11, 2022. Region 7 will be able to send 21 members as consultation representatives. As a consultation representative, members will weigh in on resolutions that will help shape the association's agenda and focus. Deadline has been extended until Friday May 13th at 5 PM.
You will be required to attend 2 Mandatory sessions:

Queen's Park on the Road (QPOR) is underway.
As has been for the past eight years, RNAO members will meet with MPPs in Region 7 to discuss critical issues in public health policy and nursing care. In the past, these meetings have included discussions on a wide range of topics, from social determinants of health to the ongoing opioid crisis. These meetings allow nurses to build positive working relationships with political leaders across the province, influence healthcare policy and actively lobby for equitable healthcare for all.

If you are interested in helping to chart the agenda of RNAO work you should consider volunteering to be a Consultation Representative (CR) for Region 7.
A consultation representative is one of a team of RNAO members that weigh in on discussion surrounding the resolutions submitted to the annual general meeting of our association.
Come and join fellow nurses to spend some time learning about and participating in some fun wellness activities. This event will take place on Feb 19th, 2021 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Take a break to show yourself some love, as we enjoy some yoga/stretches.
