Dear Region 10 Ottawa Members,
Public health care in Canada is under threat and this is a moment for us to stand up and fight back.
We are sharing an important advocacy event organized by the Canadian Health Coalition, a national coalition representing more than 3 million health care workers and advocates across the country.
Save Public Health Care Rally
Tuesday, Feb. 10
12:00 p.m.
Parliament Hill, Ottawa
This rally is being held to send a clear and unified message to the government:
Canada’s public health care system must be built up, not torn down; expanded, not cut.
The rally comes in response to Alberta’s recent two-tier health care legislation, which threatens to undermine medicare as we know it and sets a dangerous precedent for the rest of the country. What happens in one province affects us all.
The event will feature speakers from national health care and labour organizations, including leaders from nursing, medicine, unions, and public health advocacy groups, all coming together to defend equitable, accessible, publicly funded health care for everyone in Canada.
As nurses and health care advocates, our voices matter. Showing up is one way to demonstrate our commitment to a strong public health care system and solidarity with colleagues across the country.

Members who are able to attend are encouraged to join this important demonstration.
In solidarity,
