Dear RNAO Region 10 Ottawa members,
I'm writing to invite you to join a vigil in honour of the life of Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care nurse who was recently killed during a federal law-enforcement incident in Minneapolis. Alex is remembered by colleagues and loved ones as a compassionate caregiver and someone deeply committed to helping others.
As nurses, we recognize the importance of standing together in times of loss and reflection. This vigil is an opportunity to honour Alex’s memory and to show solidarity with his family, colleagues, and all those affected by this tragedy.

You are welcome to bring flags, banners, and posters that reflect your values and support for nursing, justice, and peace. If you have a stethoscope, you may consider wearing it as a symbol of our profession’s care and commitment.
