Dear members,
We hope this email finds you well.
Thank you to everyone who attended the chapter meeting and holiday social on Nov. 28, 2024 at Harpos Restaurnat. We are glad that we had such a huge turnout and that members enjoyed the night's festivities.
We would like to invite you to two upcoming events:
1. Queen’s Park on the Road - Meet your politicians!
Queen’s Park on the Road meetings have been scheduled with MPPs. This is a great opportunity for both nurses and nursing students to meet with politicians and bring forward concerns, stories, and examples from one’s practice or community to influence positive policy changes. This is also an excellent way to get involved and be an advocate for those in our community who are most vulnerable and impacted by health-care disparities. Queen’s Park on the Road meetings will focus on RNAO’s main policy issues: Nursing Crisis and Housing Crisis.
We are looking to chapter and region members to participate and engage in the following in-person meetings with politicians as part of “Queen’s Park on the Road.” . (See link for QPOR package to review QPOR.RNAO.ca)
If you are interested and would like to participate in a Queen’s Park on the Road meeting with other nursing members and politicians, please email rvijeh@yorku.ca and copy rnao.durhamnorthumberland@gmail.com by Dec. 11, 2024 @ 5 p.m. to express your interest.
