President
Janet Hunt

Janet Hunt, our chapter treasurer and president, has over 30 years nursing experience within acute care, chronic care, education and community care. Currently Janet works with the London Intercommunity Health Centre, and is a faculty advisor with the Western-Fanshawe school of nursing.

She has also been actively involved in RNAO; sitting in numerous committees supporting the organization and acting as region 2 representative on RNAO Board of Directors, as well as chapter president of Middlesex-Elgin. She has advocated for the social determinants of health, engaging local politicians from all levels of government with health care information at the local level.

Region 2 Representative on Board
Huda Mohamed

Huda volunteers as the Region 2 Representative on the RNAO Board of Directors. Region 2 includes Middlesex-Elgin, Oxford and Huron-Perth Chapters. Huda is responsible for bringing regional perspectives to the board, and ensuring provincial decisions are communicated back to our Chapters. 

Finance ENO
Michelle Worsfold

Michelle Worsfold is a Registered Nurse, nurse psychotherapist, and healthcare leader with over 25 years of experience in emergency and mental health services. She brings a strong background in leadership, operations, and financial stewardship, making her well-suited to her role as Finance Executive for the RNAO Middlesex Elgin Chapter.

Michelle is the owner of Empowerment Health and Wellness, a multidisciplinary mental health clinic focused on improving access to care in rural communities. She is passionate about advancing nursing practice, supporting frontline nurses, and contributing to sustainable, innovative healthcare solutions within her community.

Membership ENO
Lallu Sara John

Lallu Sara John brings over 10 years of nursing experience within critical care, rehabilitation and gerontology. She holds both Bachelors and Masters degree in Nursing, and currently working as the Assistant Director of Care, social and healthcare development, City of London. Also a Stakeholder reviewer for RNAO Best practice guidelines; she is excited to be an executive member and looking forward to collaborate with the current and future Middlesex Elgin chapter members.

Communications ENO
Ashli Michael

Ashli is the Communications Executive Network Officer for the Middlesex Elgin Chapter. She brings over eight years of nursing experience across various specialties and is currently working as a RN in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at London Health Sciences Centre. 

Her interests lie in academic nursing and research, with a goal of contributing meaningfully to the profession through these avenues. She is passionate about connecting people through meaningful messaging and ensuring information is conveyed with clarity, empathy, and purpose. Ashli is excited to serve in her role as Communications Executive.

Policy and Political Action ENO
Mackenzie Thiessen

Mackenzie is a new graduate, having become an RN in January 2024. She has experience in Mental Health and Long Term Care. Since joining RNAO when she was a student, she has been an active advocate for nursing policy and took on the role as PPAN for the Middlesex Elgin Chapter in 2023. Since then, she has also started a new interest group, New Nurses in Ontario.

Policy and Political Action ENO
Pahul Chugh

Pahul Chugh is the Assistant Policy & Political Action Executive Network Officer. A new graduate Registered Nurse from the BScN CTF Class of 2025 at Western University, he currently works in Clinical Neurosciences inpatient care at University Hospital and the Infectious Diseases Care Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London. Pahul is actively involved with the RNAO Middlesex–Elgin Chapter, where he contributes to event planning initiatives and is particularly interested in policy development and political action within the organization. He believes strongly in the collective strength of nurses and nursing students within RNAO and is inspired by the organization’s long-standing impact on advancing the nursing profession. Pahul believes meaningful change begins with small, consistent steps—something RNAO continues to demonstrate across the profession.

Social Media ENO
Huda Mohamed

Huda is also the Social Media ENO for the Middlesex-Elgin Chapter. She is a graduate of Western University and has been practicing nursing for the past couple years in the Obstetrical and Birthing Unit at London Health Sciences Centre. She has been involved with RNAO as a student in her nursing career and looks forward to advocating for nurses and participating in levering their voices on health issues affecting our province. 

Workplace Liaison ENO
Christopher Omira

Christopher Omira has been a member of the RNAO since 2005 and has now volunteered to serve as a workplace liaison officer in the Middlesex Elgin RNAO chapter. Christopher, a respected full-time professor in the School of Nursing in the BScN Program at Lambton College, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role. Christopher holds a BScN and an MN degree from the University of Western Ontario and Athabasca University, respectively. Christopher is a Candidate for the Doctor of Nursing Practice. Christopher hopes to mentor, support, guide, inspire, and motivate colleague nurses to join the organization- RNAO and make the Nursing profession more robust.

Members at Large
Joey Lawson

Joey Lawson is a clinical educator working at SE Health. He has 10 years of community healthcare experience in a broad range of roles. He has been a member of RNAO since his first year of university and has fallen in love with the good work that the organization does. Having served as the Board of Directors representative for Region 2 twice, this is his first time serving as Members at Large, and he is looking forward to continuing to bring local members' voices to the broader RNAO community.

Student Liaison ENO
Helena Schoahs

Helena is a second-year nursing student at Western University with a strong interest in the policy and advocacy side of nursing. She has attended Queen’s Park Day twice as a representative for Middlesex–Elgin and had the opportunity to engage directly with MPPs in London and advocated on issues such as the impact of healthcare underfunding on new graduate hiring and shared concerns about job security following graduation. She is excited to continue to contribute as a Student Associate Policy and Political Action Executive by voicing student perspectives and learning from others. She is particularly passionate about addressing the RN shortage and challenges within nursing education, while advocating for sustainable workforce solutions. She has a strong interest in CICU and pediatrics and hopes to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner in the future.
