Thank you!

Dear CTNIG members,

Earlier this week you received an email message about the proposed change in the status of CTNIG from an RNAO Associated Interest Group (non-voting) to an RNAO Provincial Interest Group (voting).  We apologize for sending this message out without giving our members the necessary background information.

Here is a breakdown of the differences between the two types of groups.

RNAO Associated Interest Group RNAO Provincial Interest Group
  • non-voting
  • limited financial support from RNAO
  • less than 70 per cent of members must be RNAO members
  • membership is open to RNAO members and non-members (including student nurses, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, registered practical nurses, other healthcare professionals, and members of the public)
  • voting
  • additional financial support from RNAO
  • all members must be RNAO members
  • membership is open to RNAO members only (student nurses, registered nurses, and nurse practitioners)

We would like to hear your thoughts about the possibility of CTNIG becoming an RNAO Provincial Interest Group.   We also want to hear about any questions and concerns you have about the proposed change.

Please send your thoughts, questions and concerns about the proposed change to president@rnao-ctnig.org

With warmth,

Jacquie Dover

RNAO-CTNIG President
