The event will provide the opportunity to highlight how ableism affects students, educators, professionals and patients. By sharing real-life examples and personal stories, the event aims to illustrate the prevalence and impact of ableism on educational settings, working environments and delivery of health care.

- Raises awareness and understanding of the concept of accessibility concerns and ableism within nursing education.
- Highlights inconsistencies within nursing program clinical placements requirements (for example, lack of accommodation/diverse abilities for student placements).
- Promotes inclusive practices in education and within the workplace.
