    Hello DNIG members,

    Just a reminder from DNIG executive about our upcoming webinar.

    If you are interested in a review of medications commonly used in diabetes management or need a basic refresher, please join diabetes educator Morgan Lincoln for an interactive evening on Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

    This session will be great for those new in the field or working in other areas or want to further their practical knowledge of what is happening in diabetes medical management in Ontario today.

    DNIG members are from diverse backgrounds and practice in a number of areas.  What brings us together is a mutual interest in strengthening the nursing contribution to diabetes prevention, care and management of those living with diabetes.  DNIG exists to support nurses with an interest in diabetes through education, networking opportunities and other supports.

    If you know someone who has the passion and energy for leadership please consider putting their name forward for nomination.  If that person is you, there is a seat at the executive table.

  • DNIG Reminder - Beyond the Body Screening

    Join us for a screening of “Beyond the Body,” a unique documentary of South Asian youth tackling the diabetes epidemic in the Peel Region. Filmed through a health equity lens, this documentary calls for reflection and action around the social determinants of type 2 diabetes.

    Special guests from the film’s research and production team - Dr. Ananya Banerjee, Amina Khan and Shudipta Islam - will be present to answer audience questions after the viewing. 

    When: Wednesday, April 28th from 7:30-8:30pm
