It's time again to recognize the Windsor-Essex County “Nurse of the Year” from the many dedicated and wonderful nurses who make a difference every day with their patients in our community.
The award is selected and given by the Windsor-Essex chapter of the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO) from nominations received from the public.
If you or a loved one have ever needed nursing care in a hospital, at home or through our public health nurses, you know the difference that an outstanding nurse makes with patients and their families.
Do you want to be involved in change in this province and the activities of the RNAO?
WINDSOR-ESSEX is looking for 9 consultation representatives for RNAO’s AGM on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Toronto Hilton Hotel. Note: You must be a member RN or NP to be a consultation rep.

With the provincial election fast approaching, the executive of the Chapter is organizing an all candidates event Feb. 25 from 7-9 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). This "Politics and Pizza" event will be open to all Chapter members (RNs, NPs and students) as well as the public. Pizza will be provided.

The chapter is sponsoring a trivia night to support Year 3 students from both U of Windsor and St. Clair College sites for their clinical experience in Tanzania! Monies raised will go to purchase items needed by the women that the students will be caring for.

Celebrate Earth Day 2024 with the Ontario Nurses for the Environment Interest Group (ONEIG) and the Windsor Essex RNAO chapter on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
We recognize that the environment affects the health care of individuals; and in doing so, we are pleased to be taking part in this year’s Earth Day event at Malden Park 4200 Malden Rd, Windsor, ON N9C 3R1 from 10 a.m.– 3 p.m. This is a zero-waste event, so please bring your reusable water bottle.
This event will have a number of vendors and organizations, games, prizes and free entertainment!
