This email is to inform you of the RNAO Board of Directors' decision to put forward to One member One vote an amendment to the RNAO Bylaws 3.0 regarding regional boundaries. The proposed bylaw change will have a major impact on our chapter. This amendment will lead to the formation of four new chapters: Brampton, Mississauga, York East and York West. Peel Chapter will no longer exist. Please see the attached document with a summary of the changes, including pros and cons of the proposed bylaw change.

Peel Chapter is pleased to invite you for a paint night at PAMA! The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) exists to share the story of Peel. In this 3hr workshop, you will have a chance to tour PAMA and take part in a hands-on workshop, using a variety of media and acrylic paint to create a textural painting. This is a great opportunity for you to come and meet other nurses in Peel Region.

This is the last week to submit nominations for the 2020 RNAO Membership Recognition Awards which will be presented at the upcoming AGM on June 12th, 2020. The awards recognize individuals and groups that make significant contributions to RNAO's mandate: Speaking Out for Nursing, Speaking Out for Health. This is a great opportunity to recognize colleagues or teams as we celebrate the Year of the Nurse and Midwife!
Awards are given in the following categories:
"Care at the end of life: An introduction to Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) and Palliative Care" is an interprofessional workshop that allows participants to gain an introduction to care at the end of life. Specifically exploring Medical Assistance in Dying, the featured speakers will provide an interprofessional approach to this topic, by presenting from the physician, nurse, and ethicist perspectives. We will also have a family member, Shannan Quinn, speak on their experience of having a loved one go through the MAiD process.

Join us for a great evening of mingling with fellow colleagues, while listening to a talk on the changing RN role, lead by Matthew Kellway, Director of Nursing and Health Policy at the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario. The evening will include a chance to meet with Members of Provincial Parliament from Peel region to share your nursing stories with!
