Nurses have long recognized that housing is a basic determinant of health. RNAO believes housing is a basic human right and vital when it comes to maintaining good health. This is why the association has focused part of its advocacy on ensuring every Ontarian has access to affordable living space.
As a small part of that advocacy, Middlesex-Elgin Chapter has partnered with the London Homeless Coalition to host their annual memorial event to recognize those people in London and the surrounding area who have died while experiencing homelessness.
This year the memorial event will take place at the London Covent Garden Market on Oct. 10 from 12–1 p.m.
You are invited to join your Chapter executive to recognize the lives of those who have died in our community.
