We have three wonderful Nursing Week opportunities for members:
- nurse of distinction awards
- education bursaries
- member celebration

A - Awards
Do you know a registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (NP) or nursing student who stands out for their love of and commitment to nursing, and is worthy of acknowledgement and celebration by their peers. Please consider nominating a nurse who stands out for one of the following four awards:
- Nursing student of distinction
- Registered nurse of distinction (two awards: direct care and indirect care)
- Nurse practitioner of distinction

Submit your nominations by Tuesday, April 30. Please ensure the nominee knows you are submitting their name and they are willing to participate.
B - Bursaries
Have you been paying your own costs for ongoing nursing education? If so, consider applying for the education bursaries available from Middlesex-Elgin Chapter.
There are two bursaries of $500 for student members and two bursaries of up to $1,000 each for registered nurse and nurse practitioner members to apply for.

The deadline to apply is Wednesday, May 1, 2024
C - Celebrate Nursing Week at Fleetway Bowling May 8, 7 - 9 p.m. ET
Join your friends and family in a friendly game of 10-pin bowling to celebrate Nursing Week. Middlesex-Elgin Chapter has reserved eight lanes (shoes included) and is providing some tasty pizza for your enjoyment.

- Who: Members of Middlesex-Elgin Chapter, friends, coworkers and family members
- Cost: Members $10 and non-members $15
