Hello Middlesex-Elgin members,
In health care, we routinely encounter issues that have ethical implications. Increasingly unwell patients, high expectations, scare resources and value conflicts, are all associated with nurses experience of moral distress, and nurses wanting to leave the profession.
Please join us for open dialogue on the ethical issues that you face in the workplace. Through discussion we will uncover some of the things that lead to the experiences of moral distress in nursing, and identify interventions that may reduce the effect of these situations on you.
Our discussion will be guided by Launa Elliott (bio attached), registered nurse and clinical ethicist, who has experience working in both acute care and community care.
When: April 18, 2024, starting at 7 p.m.
Where: East Lions Community Centre, 1731 Churchill Ave., London, ON N5W 5P4
Cost: $10 (members will be reimbursed this fee at the door)
Please register here: https://myRNAO.ca/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=1578
We look forward to having good discussions with you all,
Middlesex-Elgin executive
