We are currently seeking members to participate in two local opportunities:
1. Queen’s Park on the Road: Planning is still underway for meeting with politicians as part of RNAO’s Queen’s Park on the Road event. Pickering-Uxbridge MPP Peter Bethlenfalvy is interested in meeting with members and would like to meet with nurses/nursing students from his riding (potential dates Jan. 12 or Jan. 26). If you live in the Pickering-Uxbridge riding and would like to advocate for nursing and health care, we would love to hear from you!
2. Tackling the opioid crisis & mental health: Seeking member involvement to form a working group. Our goal: To take action on addressing the ongoing opioid crisis and lack of adequate addictions and mental health supports in our region. If you have experience or a passion in this area, please connect with us and we will be touch with more details.
