Hello Members,
It's time for our Annual General Meeting. As we do every year, we will be holding a dinner meeting with a guest speaker presentation. This year, we are excited to announce that our guest speaker is Cathy Crowe. Cathy Crowe is a street nurse who has done extensive work with and for the homeless population. Cathy has received multiple awards, acknowledgements, and accolades in her career, the recent one being inducted as a Member of the Order of Canada. In addition to her work with one of the most marginalized and vulnerable populations in the country, Cathy is a published author of the book Dying for a Home and a filmmaker for the Home Safe series. Currently, Cathy is affiliated with Ryerson University. We are looking forward to having Cathy share her experiences of her extensive career and shine a light on the homelessness crisis in Ontario.
Like every year, our AGM will be held at Harpo's Restaurant located at 44 Stevenson Road South, Oshawa. The AGM will be held on April 10, 2018 from 6:30 - 9 p.m. The cost of attendance is $10 (payable online only). Space is limited and registration is on a first come first serve basis.
