Good day, members,
Summer is approaching, and the warmer weather is finally here. Last month, BNLC had the honour of participating in several events, while many of our executive members were also recognized for their hard work, leadership and contributions to nursing.

RNAO 101st Annual General Meeting
RNAO hosted its 101st Annual General Meeting from May 28 to May 29. BNLC was proudly represented by ENOs Donna Lawrence, Kaywana Malcolm, and Dania Versailles.
An important highlight from this year’s AGM was BNLC’s involvement in the sickle cell disease resolution, which was amended and carried with full support. This was an important achievement and a proud moment for BNLC.
Great job to everyone involved.
Sickle Cell Disease Resolution Passes at RNAO’s AGM
BNLC is excited to announce that we successfully supported the passing of a sickle cell disease resolution at this year’s RNAO AGM. Members who submit resolutions to RNAO’s AGM help raise the profile of important health-care issues and engage colleagues in meaningful discussions that matter to RNs and NPs.
At this year’s AGM, our collective voice helped achieve a historic milestone with the successful passing of a resolution dedicated to advancing the care of individuals living with sickle cell disease by supporting Bill S-201.
Many thanks to Kaywana Malcolm and Dania Versailles for helping bring this important resolution forward. BNLC is extremely proud and honoured to see this work being recognized and advanced.
Thank you, Kaywana and Dania.
