BNLC Black History Month Event: Resilience

Good day, members,

February marked Black History Month, and the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) highlighted its significance and the invaluable contributions of Black nurses. BNLC proudly played its part in celebrating and recognizing outstanding Black nurses, including members within our own community.

This year’s theme, Resilience, continues to guide our work throughout the year, and we were excited to host several impactful events aligned with this theme.

Queen’s Park Day (February 25–27)

BNLC proudly represented the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) at this year’s annual Queen’s Park Day. Our team had the opportunity to actively participate, including contributing to a discussion panel.

BNLC members Lori Zozzolotto and Dania Versailles were present to represent the organization, demonstrating strong leadership and advocacy. In addition, Communications ENO Dwight Barrett was featured in a presentation led by RNAO’s Social Media Manager, which focused on how nurses can effectively promote their work and amplify their voices through social media platforms.

Well done, team!
